    What makes Satovita courses special?

Satovita is run by Philippa Buck and Janetta Bensouilah. We are both experienced therapists, teachers and co-authors of the aromatherapy textbook Aromadermatology - aromatherapy in the treatment and care of common skin conditions.

We set up Satovita so that we could provide the kind of enjoyable, focussed learning experiences that we've found hard to source ourselves over the years.

baby reflexology surrey #03 As therapists, we've attended numerous classes, all of varying quality and know that for a course to be worth attending it needs to:

  • Present good value for money
  • Be full of useful information that improves your practice
  • Be fun and socially worthwhile
  • Cover material that's not easily available in 101 other places
  • Use material that is up-to-date and well researched
  • Be held in pleasant, comfortable surroundings that are easily found
  • Be led by teachers who not only love their subject but are genuinely interested in those they're teaching.

We make sure that Satovita classes do all this plus more. Each day is packed with information that's presented in lively and interactive ways.

Most classes are held in a peaceful, riverside setting, perfect for enjoying the delicious lunch that is included in the cost of each course. Networking over lunch is an added bonus and something everyone enjoys.

We also send regular e-newsletters to all who attend Satovita courses and who wish to stay in touch. If you would like to receive our newsletters, you don't need to attend a course, just click here and join our mailing list.

  • Satovita Teachers

Founders of Satovita, Philippa Buck and Janetta Bensouilah teach many of the courses and are joined throughout the year by respected colleagues who are all experienced practising therapists themselves, with clinical specialisms, and understand well the need to deliver the best possible training.

Philippa Buck is a pharmacist-aromatherapist specialising in women's health & treating children and teenagers in her Guildford practice. She holds qualifications in medical toxicology and is keen to dispel the myths and misunderstandings surrounding safe aromatherapy practice. She has a deep interest in nutrition and functional foods and encourages holistic therapists of all disciplines to use this knowledge with their clients.

Janetta Bensouilah is an acupuncturist-aromatherapist and specialises in pregnancy, fertility and dermatology in her private practice. Visit www.aromaticacupuncture.com for more details on her work. She is keen to show how classical teachings from traditional medicine can enhance the work of modern natural health practitioners.

We're able to offer a unique perspective in aromatherapy and natural therapy education as we clearly bring together clinical and traditional understandings from our practices and professional backgrounds. We also guarantee to use only the most up-to-date and accurate information in Satovita courses. CPD Points and Accreditation

Today, most professional associations require their members to undertake regular CPD activities and Satovita aims to help therapists by providing a variety of great quality classes. At the end of every course, we issue Statements of Attendance that indicate the nature of the training undertaken and the hours attended that can be used as evidence of your commitment to CPD. For most associations there is no absolute requirement to attend named, specified accredited courses, they respect the individual’s right to choose their own training and development route, which for most therapists involves a broad and interesting range of activities. If you are concerned that your association will not accept evidence of attendance at Satovita courses as part of your CPD plan, please contact the Association for clarification and let us know how you get on.
